Margo grew up on the west coast of Canada. She studied at Laval University in Quebec City and McGill University in Montreal, where she performed in student theatre productions, including a bilingual (French and English) version of Chekov’s The Seagull. She was a CUSO volunteer in Nigeria, and taught English at a Government Science College for boys in Niger State. Margo is a graduate of the Harvard Divinity School.

Her masters thesis, titled Narrative and Transformation included a performance of her own translation (Pali to English) of Citta-Sambhuta Jataka, one of the Buddhist birth-stories, with musical accompaniment by Doug MacKenzie, a musician and cranio-sacral therapist based in New York and Seattle.Margo has worked as a puppeteer, a cook, and a chaplain.

From 2011 - 2012, she was Artist-in-Residence at the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society at the University of Victoria. She is currently a writer, storyteller, and teacher in Victoria, BC.
